Inactive. Mentally, I've been disassociated for at leaste since 2001, but kept up pretenses for many years after that. I actually gave the Memorial Talk three years ago and haven't looked back since. EVERYONE has wondered how I can give a memorial talk one day and stop going the next.....hahahaha!

Kingdom Melodies songwriters - Who wrote which songs?
by Black Man inso can we get a directory going of who wrote various kingdom melodies songs?
i know frank kavelin (who has happily since left the cult) had a hand in writing "make the truth your own," and "make sure of the more important things.
" but who were some of the writers that penned the rest of the tunes?.

Was Jesus a REAL person?
by Black Man inso i've reached the point where i've reconciled that the majority of bible stories that i was raised with are the works of fiction and are as real as cartoon and fairytales.
but jesus, i'm still crafting my view(s)on that.
jesus as the son of an almighty sky god, i don't believe.

So I've reached the point where I've reconciled that the majority of bible stories that I was raised with are the works of fiction and are as real as cartoon and fairytales. But Jesus, I'm still crafting my view(s)on that. Jesus as the son of an almighty sky god, I don't believe. But I think there was a charismatic leader named Jesus who people back in the 1st century put a lot of hope and trust in. Our modern day calendar is based on the birth of a jesus figure, but I'm trying to reconcile that figure with all of the miracles associated w/him, which I don't believe.
So where are you with at with the whole Jesus concept? Any good threads on here where this was previously discussed? Was he real?

Memorial 2009. Gave the talk, knew it would be my last meeting. Completely ditched the outline and talked about what it means to truly love our neighbor and show unconditional love. It was a poignant talk that most of the audience responded to. The other elders of course put a bullseye on my back.

haven't officially walked away from the cult over a year ago (had been trying to apply a slow fade over a number of years) and now being able to think clearly, i can truly say that organized religion is the epitome of man's arrogance and ignorance.
